About the course

Our half day mental health awareness online course provides delegates withn an awareness of mental health conditions, the triggers to be aware of, and signs and symptoms. Perhaps most importantly, you will learn how to help those facing mental illnesses. It also advises delegates on how to stay mentally healthy at work. Our instructor will guide you…

This mental health awareness online course is taught 100% virtually. This means you can learn about mental health at work from the comfort of your home or place of work. We recommend the use of a laptop. A mobile phone is not suitable for this training. Delegates are advised to log on 15 minutes early. This allows for any technical issues, and to ensure that the course starts on time. We do offer this training in person should you prefer.

To be a mental health first aider, you will need to take our Mental Health First Aid course. Although we do not offer this mental health first aid course online, we do offer it as part-virtual training. It is split over a series of interactive eLearning modules and two live, virtual training sessions. These will be done with a St John Ambulance Cymru trainer.

Taking mental health awareness training as an online course may be beneficial for several reasons. For example, if you cannot reach one of our training centres, then you can still enjoy gold-standard training from one of our highly trained St John Ambulance Cymru instructors. As long as you have a stable internet connection, then you can join the course. Not only this, but it as it is a live course with a real instructor, if you have any questions then you can ask them and receive an answer in real time.

We frequently hold our mental health awareness online course via live training. Get in touch by ringing us on 0300 201 1999 or email training@sjacyrmu.org.uk for more information. We can provide bespoke training for larger groups.
