Fundraisers Join us in May 2026 For The Great Wall of China Trek

In May 2026, fundraisers from across Wales will take part in a once in a lifetime challenge, trekking along one of the greatest wonders of the world to raise vital funds for St John Ambulance Cymru.

The Great Wall of China Trek will run from 7th to 18th May 2026, offering participants a 12-day adventure. They will begin this unforgettable challenge at the breathtaking Old Dragon’s Head, where the iconic Wall meets the sea, then journey along some of the most scenic and historic sections of the Great Wall. Participants will experience the majestic First Pass Under Heaven and hike through beautifully preserved stretches of the Wall, including the stunning vistas of Huangyaguan and Jinshanling. The trek concludes with a cultural tour of Beijing, featuring visits to Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. This exciting adventure is hosted by the experienced team at 360 Expeditions and includes flights, transfers, accommodation, and meals.

Here’s what Jen who has signed up for the challenge had to say:

“I have a special Birthday coming up, and when I saw the Great Wall of China trek advertised, I thought, what better way to celebrate while supporting a fantastic cause! It’s not every day you get the chance to experience one of the Seven Wonders of the World. The knowledgeable team at 360 Expeditions take care of all the planning – from travel and accommodation to transfers, meals, and a tour guide – allowing me to focus on my fundraising and training in the lead-up to the trek. First aid saves lives, and it’s an honour to support St John Ambulance Cymru’s vital work in communities across Wales. If you have a special occasion coming up or are looking for a once-in-a-lifetime challenge, I highly recommend taking part!”

To take part, we ask participants to raise a minimum sponsorship of £3,590 to help cover the cost of this incredible experience and support our lifesaving work. A £500 deposit is required to secure your place (with instalment plans available), and our dedicated fundraising team will be with you every step of the way to help you reach your goal. For further information, contact our friendly fundraising team at fundraising@sjacymru.org.uk or 0300 201 1999.

By joining the Great Wall of China Trek, you’ll be helping St John Ambulance Cymru continue its vital work, delivering first aid and saving lives across Wales.
