About the course

Our half day Fire Marshal Training is approved by the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE) and teaches attendees the fire safety skills needed to be a qualified and competent workplace fire marshal. Protect your staff and business from the devastation caused by fire. You will learn about the implications of a fire in your workplace and basic…

Fire safety training is critical for all types of workplaces, from offices to construction sites and places with electrical equipment. A fire marshal ensures safety by identifying hazards and leading emergency responses. Knowing how to act in a fire can reduce harm to people, property, and business operations.

A fire marshal and a fire warden are essentially the same and both refer to the person responsible for fire safety. Their duties include maintaining safety procedures, conducting drills, and guiding emergency responses. In larger workplaces, roles may be split, for example, a fire warden may manage evacuation from inside, while a marshal oversees it from outside. Our training prepares you for both roles, regardless of the title.

By law, companies must provide adequate fire safety training and designate at least one fire safety marshal. The number needed depends on the type of business, the environment, and the number of employees. Conducting a fire risk assessment will help determine the appropriate level of coverage.

After successfully completing this course, you will receive a certificate that will be valid for 3 years. After this time the qualification will expire, and in order to remain certified you will need to take this course again.

Yes, attendees of the course will have the opportunity to use a dummy fire extinguisher so that they can practice how to use it safely and effectively.
