A health and safety awareness course is very useful training for all employees, regardless of industry. The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 requires businesses to protect the health and safety of their workforce, and everyone has the right to feel safe at work. Understanding of health and safety and individual responsibilities can help reduce unsafe acts, injuries, illnesses, and even deaths. It also boosts productivity, and trained employees are more confident, efficient, and better equipped to identify and prevent potential hazards. Invest in health and safety training to protect your staff and reduce the financial impact of workplace accidents and lost productivity.

The H&S law for the UK is The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. It states that employers must protect the ‘health, safety and welfare’ of all employees. They also have a duty to all others on the premises, from the general public to clients and temporary workers.

In our Health and Safety Awareness course, you’ll explore real world examples to see how key principles apply in everyday workplaces. The goal is to help you build the skills to identify hazards, take practical safety measures, and stay safe in your day to day work.

You can complete this St John Ambulance Cymru training course in just 4 hours. It a great way to maximise your time while also improving your awareness and understanding of health and safety in the workplace. It’s not just for higher-risk workplaces such as a construction environment, everyone can benefit from this work training even if you work in an office or similarly low risk setting.
