The first aid for schools training is suitable if you work in a school and want to learn emergency first aid. It is also a very important course for other staff such as headmasters, teaching assistants, and other school support staff to ensure sufficient first aid provision for every pupil. It’s also important consider first aid arrangements on a school trip.

Under the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981, this course does not certify you as a qualified first aider. For this you need to take our First Aid at Work 3-Day Course. An emergency first aid at work course would not provide sufficient training for a classroom. This is a supplementary course which provides specific knowledge of common accidents and emergencies that can happen in schools. You will be able to provide basic first aid until medical help arrives, or an appointed person attends the scene.

We also offer a Paediatric First Aid training course and Emergency Paediatric First Aid training, which is more suited to those who look after very young children. This training course would be for you if you were a childminder, babysitter, or work in a nursery.
