University volunteering 18+

Joining St John Ambulance Cymru as a university volunteer is a chance to make your time at university even more rewarding. While you’re studying, you’ll be part of a welcoming group where you can meet new people, get involved in student life, and give something back to the wider community.

What to expect

As a volunteer, you’ll experience a mix of sports, social activities, and community events. You’ll also have the chance to train in vital skills such as first aid, leadership, and problem-solving – skills that will stay with you long after your time at university. Many of our volunteers find these experiences boost their confidence, strengthen their CVs, and open doors to future opportunities.

What experience do you need?

You don’t need any experience to join. We’ll provide all the training and support you need, and you’ll be part of a team that values your contribution and helps you get the most out of your volunteering.
