In June, brave fundraisers took to the skies conquering some of Wales most adrenaline-rushing challenges, in support of St John Ambulance Cymru’s charity services.
This included the Phoenix Zipline in South Wales, the world’s fastest seated zipline, reaching speeds of up to 70mph. In North Wales, thrill-seekers took on the Aero Explorer, a unique zip wire and rollercoaster hybrid, suspended high above Penrhyn Quarry. Participants were encouraged to set and achieve sponsorship goals.
Dev & Priyank shared their experience:
“The zipline challenge was incredible! Despite my fear of heights, it was the perfect opportunity for my partner and me to push our limits for a good cause, raising money in memory of my gran, who valued the importance of learning. My first aid training with St John Ambulance Cymru was invaluable. In today’s world, where healthcare resources are often stretched thin, knowing basic first aid can make a real difference. Overall, the event was a fantastic experience, and I’m so glad I participated!”
Thank you to all those that took part and the courage you showed. If you would like to fundraise for St John Ambulance Cymru or find out more about fundraising for the charity visit our fundraising and donations page.
